Jamie Kessler is my stepson from a prior relationship and I knew him intimately from age 3 through age 17. We still try to keep in touch but he is a traveler and at last contact, he was headed into a remote Hawaian beach with his girlfriend to live off the land.
Jamie graduated from Humboldt State University with a degree in Religious Studies in May, 2005. He then traveled through Asia, Nepal and India on an amazing journey to see the Eastern World. See summitpath.net/jamiekessler for Jamie's e-mails and photos of this trip.
Jamie and I spent a day hiking and climbing on Hurricane Ridge just days before I left Seattle to move back to Michigan in June, 2004. It was a sun-scorcher of a day and we hiked about 4 miles in before we stoppped and then headed back. I think Jamie would have kept going. As I look back, I am sorry that I did not take Jamie on some climbs when he was younger.
