Your website's basic design is like curb appeal. After users get into your site, content is king. Content provides the basic substance of your website.

This will probably provide you with your most intense challenge. Each web page needs it's own content. A site with poor content will reflect poorly on your business or personal image and will not get you customers, referrals or repeat visits.

Remember that ultimately you are responsible for your website's content. And no matter who actually writes it, you are still responsible if it is your website.

This process needs to be the basis for your websites purpose. Please give this some serious thought. Personally, for a sales site, I think an educational approach will get you much further along than a strictly sales attack.

Another thought here could also save you some money. If you can supply this content to me with e-mail, it will be a lot easier for me to insert it into your website. Spell checked e-mail would be even nicer. If you give me the content written out by hand or from some other printed hard-copy document, I will need to retype it all into my computer and this will cost you more money.

Hand written material can be very difficult to read, especially if your handwriting is sloppy. Spell checked e-mail is the best option or content written on a floppy disc works to, as long as it's in a format that I can read. I do want to build you website, so if you come to me with nothing else but money, I can do it.

Once the content is clearly written, the rest of the website will have a clear sense of purpose. And it will lead you to a website you can be proud of.
